"The global financial crisis heavily upset the Germany economy in 2009. We are particularly proud that ConCardis concluded the past financial year on such a very positive note despite such a strong headwind. Let us present some figures as evidence: Transaction revenue increased from € 19.0 billion (of which € 0.8 billion in Maestro revenue) in 2008 to € 20.4 billion (of which € 1.3 billion in Maestro revenue) in 2009, posting an increase of 7.4 percent. Sales revenue climbed from € 278.2 million in 2008 to € 293.6 million in 2009, which corresponds to a year-on-year increase of 5.5 percent.. [...]"
