ConCardis - suitable solutions for cashless payment processing.
Frankfurt/Main, 1st February 2008. This set of guidelines, which has been designed as a way of “helping traders to help themselves”, contains practical information on various topics, e.g. shop system selection, special features of various payment procedures, risk prevention methods, and popularising payment procedures abroad etc.
“There are a whole host of challenges that have to be overcome in e-commerce, from choosing the right marketing campaign and creating a legally water-tight shop to organising payment procedures and collecting outstanding receivables”, explains Dr. Ernst Stahl of the ibi research and consultancy institute, which is leading the project. “Small companies, in particular, often have problems getting the right information. In order to help them, we have joined forces with five reputable companies and summarised the main aspects of e-commerce in a comprehensible document”. The result is a user-friendly set of guidelines containing checklists, example cases, interviews, images, addresses and links.
The guidelines are aimed at traders as well as first ports of call for potential shop operators, such as banks or chambers of industry and commerce.
As the leading provider of complete solutions for cashless payment transactions, ConCardis has made a valuable contribution to these guidelines with its longstanding expertise in the area of payment transactions and secure payment procedures. “Avoiding payment defaults is one of the key challenges facing the majority of companies”, says Rainer Sureth, General Manager for Sales and Marketing at ConCardis. “However, thanks to our new generation of sophisticated solutions, such as the ConCardis PayEngine, we can offer secure payment processes without major technical installation expenses”. ConCardis PayEngine can be used not only for e-commerce but also for telephone and e-mail orders. And of course, ConCardis PayEngine features all the standard security procedures. “Security was at the top of our agenda when we launched ConCardis PayEngine. Secure payment procedures not only safeguard against unpleasant charge-backs. By increasing consumer confidence and allowing traders to tap into global customer potential, they also offer online shops the bonus of additional revenues”, explains Rainer Sureth.
In order to tailor the guidelines as closely as possible to the needs of online traders, a survey was carried out on the website www.eCommerce-Leitfaden.de from 3rd May to 30th June 2007. The results of the survey provided further confirmation of what topics online traders are particularly interested in. The guidelines, compiled as a kind of reference document, therefore focus on the following topics:
