ConCardis, one of Germany’s leading acquirers, is to work together with the IT consultancy firm usd.de AG to enhance its support programme for certification in accordance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). Over the coming months, an Internet platform initiated by ConCardis will go online, providing merchants with comprehensive details on the information and documentation processes they have to comply with and giving them the opportunity to obtain certification in accordance with payment card organisation standards. A professional telephone hotline and e-mail service is also available in the event of queries.

All major credit card organisations now require that companies which store, process or pass on credit card details must comply with the PCI DSS. ConCardis has therefore made it its objective to provide customers and partners with the best possible support and advice regarding these international security standards.

The PCI DSS is a set of standardised rules and procedural requirements for the entire card payment industry. It ensures that account and cardholder details are always secure. The banking and trade sectors are aware of the need to obtain certification for their security systems since this is a prerequisite and suitable precautionary measure for combating the attempts of organised criminals to damage companies and consumers.
