Manfred Krüger, born 1950
Biography
After training as a bank clerk and completing a specialised business administration degree at the German Savings Bank Academy (Sparkassenakademie), Manfred Krüger went on to fulfil various executive roles at the German Savings Bank Organisation (Sparkassenorganisation) from the mid-1970s.
He has devoted himself to card-based payment transactions since the early 1990s. In 1998, Mr Krüger was made the director of the Card Strategy department at the German Savings Bank Association (Deutscher Sparkassen- und Giroverband – DSGV).
One year later, he joined the management board of EURO Kartensysteme, Frankfurt am Main. He played a key role in the company's restructuring phase, which had the main objective of spinning off the Acquiring business division.
With the successful spin-off of the Acquiring division, since 1 July 2003 Mr Krüger has been Chief Executive Officer of ConCardis GmbH, with responsibility for company management.
Manfred Krüger is a member of the Administrative Board of the “Verein zur Förderung der Aktivitäten von MasterCard in Deutschland e.V.”.
