eDCC: Automatic currency conversion

The Internet brings people from around the world to your online shop. Offer them the possibility to pay in their local currency and interested visitors will turn into loyal customers.

With eDCC – electronic Dynamic Currency Conversion – you'll offer international customers the possibility to pay in their local currency. The purchase price is immediately converted by the ConCardis PayEngine in the customer's currency at the daily exchange rate.

Your customer pays for their purchase in, for example, US dollars. As usual, you will receive your transaction amounts in euros.

This is how eDCC works
  1. At the conclusion of the payment process, the credit card number is queried
  2. Based on the number, it is determined if the credit is supported by [eDCC] and which local currency is stored on the card.
  3. An additional selection window is displayed in which the customer is shown the payment possibility and offered payment in their local currency.
  4. The cardholder must only confirm the payment
