As Chief Executive Officer, Robert Hoffmann manages Concardis Payment Group’s transformation into the leading provider of digital payment services in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In this role, he is responsible for the development of all portfolio companies.

Hoffmann has more than 20 years of management experience in e-business and telecommunications. Prior to joining Concardis Payment Group, he managed 1&1 Internet SE as CEO from 2013 to 2017 and was a member of the management board of United Internet AG’s business applications segment. From 2006 to 2012, Hoffmann was responsible for the telecommunications business of United Internet as a member of the management board of 1&1 Internet AG. Prior to this, he held various leadership roles in product management and sales between 1998 and 2006 at Arcor AG & Co. KG. He started his career with his own company dealing in the trade and import of vending machines.

As Chief Information Officer, Jana Brendel is responsible for the entire IT of the Concardis Payment Group. In this function, she is significantly driving the development of the group of companies into a digital payment champion.

Brendel has worked in the IT and finance industry for more than 20 years. Before joining the Concardis Group, she was Head of Digital Solutions at Deutsche Bank AG, where she was responsible for the development of all end-user applications. Prior to that, she headed the application development department of Deutsche Bank, after having managed the integration of Postbank until 2014 as IT Program Manager. Before joining Deutsche Bank, she worked as a software developer.

As Chief Financial Officer, Carsten heads the finance division of the Concardis Payment Group and assumes responsibility for the profitability of the Group. In addition to Group controlling and accounting, he also heads the risk management and treasury divisions.

With more than 20 years of experience in the finance industry, Carsten is a proven financial expert. Before joining the Concardis Payment Group, he was CEO of the German subsidiary of Barclaycard for almost a decade. Prior to that, the studied economist was responsible for the German division of the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) as CEO, after he had previously headed the European retail division of RBS. Carsten’s career started at the auditing firm PricewaterhouseCoopers as well as at Dresdner Bank.

In the capacity of Chief Sales Office, Dr. Peter Walz is responsible for the entire sales division of the Concardis Payment Group. By expanding the sales division, he significantly drives the growth of the Group forward.

Prior to joining the Concardis Payment Group, Peter has held senior positions in the telecommunications industry for 18 years – 13 of which in sales. From 2013 to 2018, he worked as Sales Director at Vodafone Germany and was in charge of all direct and indirect sales channels, managed the integration of the sales organisations of Vodafone and Kabel Deutschland and played pivotal role in the digitisation of customer processes. Most recently, Peter, who holds a degree in business administration, was responsible for around 2.000 employees, 1.400 branded shops and more than 5.000 multi-brand stores. He started his career in 1995 at Mannesmann AG.

As Chief Operating Officer, Ralf Weber is responsible for the business operations of the Concardis Payment Group. He is managing and controlling the entire business processes and guarantees the high quality standards of the Group’s products and services.

Before joining the Concardis Payment Group, Ralf held a number of executive positions in Germany as well as internationally. Most recently, as Partner at Saras Partners, he was responsible for the change management at Sky Deutschland, where he implemented new customer service strategies and drove the optimisation of operational processes. Prior to that, Ralf was responsible for the European customer service as Director European Customer Experience at Bose. He also spent many years in the cable tv industry, as COO of ish (now UnityMedia) and as Director Customer Operations at Kabel Deutschland. He started his career in the media industry at Merkur Thorhauer Group.

As Chief Product Officer, Thomas Gregory is responsible for the strategic and commercial development, brand and product marketing, innovations and management of the Concardis Payment Group products and services.

Prior to joining Concardis Payment Group, from 2016 to 2018, Gregory was COO at CashFlows, which specialized in providing eCommerce and digital payment solutions to merchants in the UK and across Europe. Prior to that he run the day-to-day business for Skrill Group from 2013 to 2016 helping to expand the business leading to its successful acquisition by Optimal Payments (Paysafe Group). Previously he was Strategy Director at PayU, a global PSP and a Naspers group company focusing on Emerging Markets. From 2001 to 2012, Gregory held various roles at Barclays Bank. In his final years at the company in the role of Head of Digital Payments he was responsible for successfully implementing the UKs first NFC mobile payment solution. In his earlier career, he led and managed strategic transformation and post-merger integration programmes in the Retail Banking, Payments, and Credit Card space across the UK, Africa, and America.

As Chief Human Resources Officer, Alexander Libor assumes responsibility for the entire human resources division of the Concardis Payment Group. He drives the strategic alignment of the HR division forward to promote further growth of the Group and to achieve the integration of the portfolio companies.

Before joining the Concardis Payment Group, Alexander has worked in human resources for 15 years. As Executive HR Manager at the Zurich Beteiligungs AG insurance company in Bonn and Frankfurt, he initiated the digital transformation of the company and established flexible business units. Prior to that, Alexander was responsible for the global human resources management at Celesio AG in Stuttgart and worked as Global Head of Human Resources at Gfk SE in Nuremberg.
