How does Alipay work?
In China, Alipay – and mobile payment in general – has been a part of everyday life for years, which is due in particular to the high level of convenience offered by the mobile payment method. You need nothing more than a smartphone and the Alipay-App, which can be downloaded from the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. The user then stores a Chinese bank account in the app which has been successfully set up for payment on the device. The merchant, on the other hand, needs a reader that supports Alipay as a payment method.
