Chief Executive Officer

After earning a degree in business economics and completing an MBA in the United Kingdom, Marcus W. Mosen began his career in the early 1990s at the Treuhandanstalt (privatisation agency for East German industry) in Berlin. In 1995 he joined vebacom GmbH, a telecommunications provider, as a manager.

His entry into the card-based payments industry came in 1999 as Senior Vice President Merchant Processing at Gesellschaft für Zahlungssysteme mbH (GZS). In 2001 he moved to First Data International, where as managing director he was responsible for the company’s operations and business development in Germany and later for strategic investments in Europe

In 2007 he joined the Management Board of easycash Holding GmbH, and as Chief Business Development Officer he assumed responsibility for the growth and development of the credit card acquiring business. After the sale of the company in 2010, Mosen became Chief Commercial Officer at Ogone, a payment services provider based in Belgium, where as a member of the Executive Board he was responsible for sales, marketing and business development. There he was the driving force behind the company’s international expansion and growth via strategic partnerships.

In November 2013, Marcus W. Mosen joined the executive management of Concardis GmbH, where he initially served as Chief Operating Officer. He has been Chief Executive Officer and chairman of the board of management of Concardis GmbH since July 2015. As CEO he is responsible for sales, product and customer management, and the strategic business development of the leading German payment provider.

Marcus W. Mosen is a member of the Administrative Board of the Association for the Promotion of MasterCard Activities in Germany e.V.
He is also member of the supervisory board of orderbird AG, in which Concardis is a strategic shareholder.

Jens Mahlke, CFO

Jens Mahlke began his professional career with an apprenticeship as a banker at Deutsche Bank. Studies at the banking academy in Bielefeld ending with certification as a banking specialist would follow.

In 1993, Mahlke returned to Deutsche Bank. After working in risk management and with business customers, he moved to New York in 2000 to continue his work for Deutsche Bank. There he was responsible for, among other things, the development of commercial paper programs for businesses and financial institutes and the establishment of an international financial reporting department.

In 2004, Mahlke transferred to Deutsche Bank’s global transaction banking department in Frankfurt and, as director, took over leadership of the project focusing on a new strategic direction for business banking in Germany. As the head of product management for cards and product evolution, he was appointed to the executive committee of global transaction banking in 2008.

With the founding of Deutsche Card Service GmbH in 2008, Mahlke joined the executive management of the newly founded acquiring company. His most recent responsibilities included the areas of finance, risk management and HR, as well as the establishment of a pan-European e-commerce platform (gateway and acquiring). After the sale of the company to EVO Payments International in 2013, Mahlke took over management of business activities in Europe for EVO.

Mahlke has been the Chief Financial Officer of Concardis GmbH since July 2015. As CFO, he is responsible for the areas of controlling, finance, risk management and HR. Mahlke is a member of the governing board of the association VISA Deutschland e.V. and a member of the association V PAY Deutschland.
